Looks Like Central New York is in for a Near Perfect Start to Summer
After the summer we had last year, a lot of us didn't have the highest hopes for this one. We just hoped it would be a little better... And it looks like it's going to be.
Besides the high heat and storms on Monday, this last week of spring into the first week of summer is going to be almost perfect. Well, perfect weather for the kickoff of summer, that is. According to the National Weather Service out of Binghamton, we're looking at sunny skies for the rest of the week, with high temperatures in the upper 70s, up to the low 80s as we head into the weekend. Sounds pretty good, right?!
...That's what we think. Especially after summer 2017 in Central New York. It wasn't an awful summer, but it definitely didn't feel like summer. At least, not for the majority of it. Last summer was cooler and wet. Besides having a great start into the season, the Old Farmer's Almanac is calling for a hotter, drier than average summer for Central New Yorkers this year. That means we should be in for quite a difference compared to last year.
