Second hand smoke isn't healthy for anyone, especially young children.  Now, state lawmakers are considering a bill to ban smoking in vehicles with children present.

According to WKTV, Connecticut lawmakers are proposing a bill prohibiting smoking in vehicles with a child or children age seven or younger, which is similar to what New York lawmakers are proposing.  The NY proposal would fine violators one hundred dollars for smoking in a vehicle with a child or children under the age of fourteen.  New York and Connecticut aren't the only states considering the smoking ban.  Arkansas, Louisiana, California and Maine all have similar legislation.  The  District of Columbia and fifteen other states have similar legislation in the works.  Would you be in favor of this bill?  How do you enforce it?  Do children under fourteen need to have photo IDs to prove their age?
