If you're looking to celebrate winter in the Adirondacks, this is one event you don't want to miss. The 2017 Winter Carnival will once again be an action packed weekend of fun in the snow.

It all gets started with specials in Old Forge shops and restaurants all day on Friday, February 10. Plus if you're looking to get some skiing in, the trail conditions are at their best, and McCauley Mountain will be offering great specials on lift tickets as well as food. Then there will be an Adirondack Parade down Main Street at 6pm, followed by a bonfire, free cocoa and night skating.

Saturday, February 11 will be a huge day at McCauley Mountain. The 64th Annual Snowflake Derby - Polar Bear Fundraiser starts at 3, with dinner by the Last Run Cafe at 5. There are more opportunities for skiing, along with live music and exciting daredevil jumping with the Town Of Webb High School Alpine Ski Team. And the fun continues with fireworks over McCauley Mountain at 8, followed by a community dance.

Wrap up Winter Carnival weekend on Sunday, February 12 with more activities for the whole family - a scavenger hunt, s'mores party, cardboard sled races and a snow sculpture contest.

Turn it in to a romantic pre-Valentine's weekend and enjoy all that winter has to offer in Old Forge. Find out more at OldForgeNY.com.
