Oneida Public Library has a full calendar of events planned for April. One of the many events is a Hogwarts Academy for kids.

Students on spring break, 8 to 13 years old, can relive J. K. Rowlings’ novels about Harry Potter during the week of April 15th - April 18th. Each day activites go from 2PM - 4PM. Here's a look at the schedule thanks to the Rome Sentinel:

• Monday’s class will divide students among Hogwarts’ houses, using a “Sorting Hat.” Then students will devise house regalia and compete in a Transfiguration Class game of charades.

• In Tuesday’s class, students will discover their personal “Patronus” through modeling clay, construct dragon eggs and practice spellwork.

• In Wednesday’s class, students will brew slime in Potions Class, care for mystical plants in Herbology and compete in the Bertie Botts Every Flavor Bean Challenge. Registration at the OPL is required.

• In Thursday’s class, students will embark on a scavenger hunt for the Deathly Hallows, act out favorite scenes from the books and conclude the course with the House Cup Ceremony and celebration."

Registration beforehand is required. To register or to get more information, stop by the Oneida Library at 220 Broad Street in Oneida or call 315-363-3050.
