A capella group Pentatonix is bringing their beautiful voices to Central New York, making two stops in our area during their summer tour.

You may think of Christmas music when you hear the name Pentatonix. I mean, their hit "Hallelujah" was requested on a daily basis during our request hour, Lunch at the Lite Cafe. But Pentatonix is more than just Christmas a cappella. The group has covered everything from Goyte's "Somebody I Used to Know" to Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody." You can hear their cover of "Cheerleader" from OMI in the video (at the top of this page). They have even covered the new hit from Camila Cabello, "Havana," which will be released on their newest album.

And with a new album on the way, a tour will follow. Pentatonix has announced the schedule for their summer 2018 tour, which includes three stops in New York, two of those stops in the Central New York area.

Pentatonix will be performing at SPAC in Saratoga Springs on Wednesday, August 22nd. The group will also be at the Lakeview Amphitheater in Syracuse, with that show being Thursday, August 23rd. Tickets for both of these shows are not on sale yet, but pre-sale tickets will go on sale Monday, March 5th at 10am. Tickets for the general public go on sale Friday, March 9th at 12pm.

Pentatonix will be releasing their newest album "PTX Presents: Top Pop, Vol. 1" on Friday, April 13th.
