Precious Preemie Fashion Show Coming To Twin Ponds

The March of Dimes is putting together a very special event to send a message of hope for premature babies and their families - the Precious Preemie Fashion Show. And it's a real showcase of success stories, featuring children who have survived prematurity.

Twin Ponds Golf & Country Club in New York Mills will be the scene of this brunch and fashion show event, and the "models" on the runway will be Central New York children, newborns to 13 year olds. Just like their parents, everyone of these kids has a story to share. And the fact that they will be in the spotlight during this fashion show, is proof of how much work the March of Dimes has done.

Founded in 1938 by President Franklin D Roosevelt, it's original mission was to combat polio. Since the introduction of a vaccine for that disease, the group has continued its work to prevent birth defects, premature birth and assistance with newborn screenings. According to the March of Dimes, prematurity is still the number one killer of newborns. But coming together with great events like this, we can raise awareness and help give every baby a healthy start.
