Punxsutawney Phil Tells Us The Obvious, Six More Weeks Of Winter

It only took less than a minute for the world's most reliable meteorologist to give his prediction of 6 more weeks of Winter. He didn't even have to look at the calendar, all he had to do was look at his shadow. The people of Punxsutawney, PA did a lot of celebrating this morning as they gathered in the cold to see the furry rodents prediction for another year. Between the Super Bowl last night and the events of the day, I can only imagine the alcohol sales in the small Pennsylvania town.

Don't You Just Love Bill Murray's "Groundhog Day?"

I don't get the hype over this holiday. It's only for the people of Punxsutawney to really "celebrate." I mean how often does the groundhog not see his shadow? They should just rename it to "Hey! We're going to be 'told' by a rodent that we're getting 6 more weeks of Winter day!" Call me a grouch, but it's a tradition that's getting a little old and frankly annoying, especially for us Central New Yorkers! Hey Phil! Call us when you've got better news.
