Reese Witherspoon wants a Legally Blonde 3 nearly as badly as Paulette Bonafante wants a hot dog.

Paulette 2

Yesterday (August 25), the Oscar winner made her Facebook Live debut with a fan Q&A through which she addressed everything from favorite former co-star (the elephant in Water for Elephants) and what it was like to play June Carter in Walk the Line ("Kind of scary"). Perhaps more importantly to longtime fans, though, she responded to rumors that a Legally Blonde 3 sequel was in the works.

The first Legally Blonde, in which Witherspoon plays a ditzy-but-bright Harvard Law School student named Elle Woods, premiered in 2001. Legally Blonde 2, in which Woods storms Congress to pass a bill to help her dog, came out in 2003.

"[Legally Blonde] was really fun,” she said. “A lot of people have asked me if we’re going to make another Legally Blonde, and we’re thinking about it.”

"I loved making Legally Blonde because I love pink," she added. "It was real fun...I got to work with a dog every day and I'm obsessed with dogs."

Back in October 2015, Witherspoon admitted as a guest on Fashionably Late With Rachel Zoe that she'd love to take another pass at Elle, and that she had high hopes for where the attorney might have wound up.

"I actually think it’s kind of great right now, ‘cause we’re talking about women in politics and how important that is to get more women," she said. "And I think it would be kind of a cool thing to have her be a Supreme Court Justice, or someone who runs for office...President? It would be cool! I think we’re ready to see Elle and see what she’s up to lately."

"I mean, I’m ready," she added.
