Crews were called to Chittenango Falls State Park on Sunday for a rope rescue after a teen girl fell into a gorge. She fell 10 feet as she was hiking on one of the trails. According to the Madison County Fire Departments Facebook page, multiple agencies including Chittenango and Cazenovia volunteer firefighters arrived on the scene to assist.

Syracuse.com reports,

Cazenovia Area Ambulance Corps (CAVAC) took the girl to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse. The extent of her injuries was not immediately known. The rescue took about two hours and most of it was done in the dark.

The rescue was complete at approximately 6:30 p.m.
