The company that owns over 1100 stores that carry clothing lines for teens and young adults has announced that it will close at least 400 of their locations.  Rue21 has filed for Chapter 11 reorganization and says it's closing it's underperforming stores.

According to a list published in USA Today, the Rue21 store in the Freedom Plaza in Rome in not one of these being closed.  However, their location in the Great Northern Mall near Syracuse is on the closing list.  Rue21 also has a store in Oneonta that does not appear on the list.

A press release at rue21.com says that other locations in addition to those 400 being closed may be evaluated for closing as well.
