Shannen Doherty Swoops Into Action to Save a Weirdly Devoted Fan Who Threatened Suicide

Earlier this week, Shannen Doherty, the former 'Charmed' and '90210' star, went above and beyond the call of ... well, whatever it is she currently does to save a Twitter user from themselves.

According to TMZ, the actress contacted the Westampton Township Police Department in New Jersey and told them a fan was sending disturbing tweets about killing herself if Doherty didn't call her.

This is the first person in the history of ever to threaten suicide over an inability to hear Shannen Doherty's voice, but regardless, Doherty was able to get the fan's address and police were dispatched. So good on her for taking action.

However, when cops arrived, nothing seemed amiss. They determined the 27-year-old did not pose a danger to herself or others and she denied any desire to harm herself. She refused medical care and police left once they ascertained that she was safe with her family.
