Shootout In Binghamton Leaves Gunman Dead, Officer Injured
An early morning shootout in Binghamton has left one gunman dead and an officer injured.
According to WBNG, the incident occurred at around 2:30 this morning near Conklin and Livingston Streets, when officers were called to investigate two suspicious people.
When they approached the men near the Memorial Street Bridge, one fired, hitting an officer.
As of now, the officer has been treated for his injuries and identities have not been released. No information has been released on the status of the other alleged gunman.
Police are continuing to investigate and will release more information as it becomes available.
