Have Confidential Papers You Need to Get Rid Of? ‘Shred Day’ is Coming Up
With the threat of identity theft, papers with personal information on them need to be disposed of properly. A free event is coming up on Saturday to help you get rid of those documents.
Deb Cabral, the DeClutter Coach has teamed up with "Confidata" and Sangertown Square Mall to help you get rid of some of that paper clutter you may have... Including those confidential documents. On Saturday, January 27th from 9am to 11am, you can bring your papers you would like shredded to Sangertown Mall (on the Boscov's side), and they'll take care of them for you. You don't even have to get out of your vehicle, you just pull up, they'll take the documents from you, and shred them right there on the premises. And you can drive off! It's that simple.
They do ask that you take all the paper clips off these documents (although you can leave any staples in). And they ask that you limit your paper load to five boxes. Also, this is just for confidential documents, please don't bring binders, plastic report covers, magazines, newspapers, or anything like that.
Again this is a free event, which is just another reason to get rid of those old papers you don't need anymore. As Deb Cabral says, "DeClutter your life! Get rid of all that paper."
This is the sixth year their holding this event in the Utica area, and it all has to do with January being "GO Month," as in "Get Organized Month." The National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals (or NAPO), which Deb Cabral is a member of, promotes "GO Month" each year, and wants to give its members the tools and techniques to help others in their community get organized.
And you can join us every Monday at 11:15am for another "Get Organized" segment on Lite 98.7. The DeClutter Coach comes in with great tips and tricks to help us get organized in a variety of areas in our lives.
