Take the Kids to a Haunted Forest and Trunk or Treating in Rome
Kids can enjoy a haunted forest and collect candy at a 'trunk or treat' event in Rome.
Papa Rick's Snack Shack is saying goodbye to summer and hello to Halloween with their second annual Haunted Forest. The event will take place on Saturday and Sunday, October 10th and 11th, from 7pm to 9pm.
Admission for the event is $3.
The haunted forest is a little bit scary, but all aged are welcome. Any child aged 12 or under who comes to the event in a costume will receive a free glow stick (while supplies last).
This year, the Snack Shack has added a Trunk or Treat event as well, so kids should bring a bag or bucket to collect candy in. Volunteers are still being sought to participate in the trunk or treat portion.
"If you’re interested in participating, either as a business or as an individual “just for fun”, please contact Papa Rick's Snack Shack. All participants should have their own treats to hand out at their station. There will be a competition for best decorated trunk as well, with pictures of each trunk and posted on Facebook on Monday, October 12th. The trunk the receives the most votes will receive a Papa Rick’s t-shirt and a gift card good for the 2021 season.
The event marks the end of the summer season for the snack shack, so customers can also enjoy regular and seasonal treats, from burgers to cider slushies, blooming apples, and pumpkin ice cream.
