I got married on New Year's Eve, so my girlfriends treated me to a great party before the big day and I wanted to share with you my suggestions on places to hold a great bachelorette party in Central New York.

Lava at the Turning Stone Resort Casino

If your idea of a great time is to dance the night away, then Lava is the place for you! Lava brings Las Vegas styles club to CNY, and what better way to spend your last night as a single lady then shakin it on stage with all your girlfriends! Lava even provides Free Transportation if your party is large enough and you purchase a table.

Roadtrip to Syracuse

Another great night out with the girls is renting a limo or a bus and going to Syracuse. We love going to Daisy Dukes downtown in Armory Square.  Daisy Dukes is half country with a mechanical bull and the other half is a dance club. This is great in the middle of winter when  it is -10! You get the best of both worlds and get to stay warm!

Treat the Bride-to-Be to a Spa Day

This is the ultimate girls day of relaxation. There are a lot of beautiful businesses in the Utica-Rome area.  We always bring lots of snacks, mimosas and magazines and get pampered and spend quality girl time talking about the wedding.  If you take my Lava at Turning Stone suggestion, just plan on spending the whole day at the casino by starting your day with your besties at Ahsi Day Spa.

Host A Staggette Party

“Staggettes” are also the new thing.  The Bridal party rents a venue, such as a VFW, fire hall or local club, hires a DJ and makes lots of food and door prizes.  You can have various vendors there, from massage therapist to Pure Romance or Pampered Chef, all bringing their fun and interactive displays.

Varick Street Pub Crawl

Join a few thousand of your best friends on a weekend night on Varick Street in Utica's Brewery district. The clubs that line Varick Street will give you plenty of opportunities for fun with the added bonus that your party is sure to grow.  You're bound to encounter so many other friends, acquaintances and coworkers that the group of girls celebrating the bride to be might be double what it was at the start of the night.  Be sure to hit Celtic Harp for their Irish Pub feel, Nail Creek for their craft brews, grab a custom made martini at the Steifvater Room, and finish the night with the live music.
