‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay’ Trailer — How to See the First Footage at Comic-Con
'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1' trailer is ready to debut at Comic-Con 2014 next week, but not in the traditional Hall H setting. What?! No epic grandstanding? That's right! Instead of waiting all day (and sometimes all night) for a seat to a 'Hunger Games' panel, your first look at footage will be coming instead from Samsung's Galaxy Tab S.
Lionsgate and Samsung have partnered to drop the first 'Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1' trailer on the Galaxy Tab S during Comic-Con. Fans in San Diego should head to the Capitol Gallery, located at the Samsung Galaxy Experience inside the Hard Rock Hotel, for 12:00 p.m. PST on Friday, July 25 to get a sneak peek at the footage before it hits the web. Also, the cast will be there! Those not at Comic-Con will still be able to participate starting on July 26, when fans nationwide can go to the Samsung Galaxy Experience at participating Best Buy locations all weekend long.
As an added incentive, those who choose to check out the trailer in this manner will get advanced tickets to go see 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1' in theaters when it comes out. But tickets are limited, so be sure you're one of the first to do so. Furthermore, if you already own a select Samsung device -- either the Galaxy Tab S, Galaxy Note Pro, Galaxy Tab Pro, Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy S5, or the Galaxy S4 -- you'll be able to download the 'Hunger Games Movie Pack App' through Google Play, which offers exclusive 'Hunger Games' content, such as clips, book excerpts, and scripts.
Well, this is certainly an interesting turn of events for Comic-Con, and it explains why there isn't an already announced 'Hunger Games' panel.
Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, and the rest of the gang return for this next installment, which is the first of a two-part film finale and sees Katniss Everdeen become the face of the rebellion in leading the charge against the tyrannical Capitol. 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1' will drop into theaters on November 21, while 'Part 2' hits November 20, 2015.
