The L.L. Bean Bootmobile and Pop-Up Shop are Making a Stop in Utica
The L.L. Bean Bootmobile is making a stop in Utica to set up a two-day pop-up shop downtown.
The two-day event will take place Monday and Tuesday, November 9th and 10th at Hanna Park, in downtown. The pop-up shop will be open from 10am - 5pm, and will featureL.L. Bean's favorites, and of course, the Bootmobile.
The Bootmobile is built to look like one ofL.L. Bean's famous duck boots - except it's much larger. The Bootmobile is built on the frame of a GMC Sierra, and is constructed from aluminum and fiberglass
If the Bootmobile had a size, like conventional shoes, it would be a 708. The person wearing those shoes would be roughly 143' tall - which is 32' taller than the Statue of Liberty - so at least she's got something to wear if those sandals aren't keeping her feet dry.
The shoelaces on the boots are made from 12-strand braided mooring rope, and capable of towing 106,000 pounds.
TheL.L. Bean Pop-Up Shop will allow you to buy some classic fall and winter gear at a discount. Representatives will also be providing free resources to help you experience the restorative power of being outside. There's even a $300 L.L. Bean gift card up for grabs.
