Are you in the right spot for raising a family? Or growing up in one?

Financial services website WalletHub concluded its study of 2019's Best & Worst Places to Raise a Family. The results are interesting for New York State residents and might make you re-think your choices. Americans relocate roughly 11 times during their lifetimes. WalletHub studied various factors "such as the cost of housing, the quality of local school and health-care systems, and the opportunities for fun and recreation." The results are in:

New York City is the top spot in the Empire State, with an overall rank of 77th, although it scored very high in some of the breakdowns, including 8th place in the Family Fun sub-category and 7th in the Education & Child Care department.

However, the Empire State was predictably 177th (out of 182) in Affordability.

In other New York news, Buffalo was #82 and Rochester #132.

The #1 spot in the overall ranking was Overland Park, Kansas. Detroit, Michigan finished dead-last, as it seems to in many studies of this kind.
