Naz Drebot is a Ukrainian born brewer who has helped launch several breweries in the United States. Drebot moved back to his home country to run his own brewery, but is now heavily involved in the Russian invasion.

One of the breweries he helped start was 42 North Brewing Company in East Aurora. The company's founder John Cimperman said he wanted to find a way to support Drebot and everyone else over in Ukraine. So, they did as any other brewer would do. They made a new beer.

Brewing For Ukraine

They came up with Resolve, a beer where all proceeds go to support the war efforts in Ukraine. 42 North came up with two different recipes, posted them online for other brewers to follow, and started brewing their own in March.

Naz Drebot is actually responsible for two of the recipes on the Resolve website. The beer label is even designed by Drebot, which on it includes the Ukrainian word for freedom.

Over 30 other breweries joined in the effort earlier this month, including Boston Beer Company. They're responsible for big labels such as Samuel Adams and Dogfish Head.

You can pick up your own case of Resolve by 42 North Brewery at your local Wegmans location.
