Looking for something fun for the kids to do during spring break? Look no further than the Utica Children’s Museum.

The Utica Children's Museum is offering virtual activities for kids who are on spring break this week. The best part, these events are free. All of the virtual events begin at 11AM  and are about an hour long. Pre-registration is required, and can be completed online.

 

The following events will be held this week:

Tuesday, April 6

Practice some yoga skills (stretching and breathing) while getting to meet seven Nigerian Dwarf goats. Learn about the goats including their names, what they eat, and what they do on the farm. Other surprise guests might make a special appearance. You can register here.

Wednesday, April 7

It's Weather Wednesday. WUTR Chief Meteorologist Colleen Hurley will teach weather basics and do a weekly forecast. You can register here.

 

Thursday, April 8

Have you always wanted to learn to sign the alphabet, your name, colors, hello and goodbye? Interpreter Gloria Broadbent will teach kids signing basics. You can register here.

Friday, April 9

Munsom-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute is partnering with the museum for this event, to show students various art pieces featuring flowers, and hold an art lesson with Jennifer Lorenz Badua.

See and learn about different pieces of art from MWPAI featuring flowers in various styles, enjoy an art lesson from Jennifer Lorenz Badua and then draw flowers of your own and we’ll make a virtual garden!"

Saturday, April 10

Demonstrations will be held on a range of subjects, including physics, chemistry, life sciences and engineering. At the end they will test your knowledge through a Kahoot quiz. You can register here.
