Outdoor movies have to be a staple of the summer for me. What's better than being able to sit outside on a blanket while eating your popcorn watching some great films with your friends or family?!

The Utica Police Department announced today via Facebook their partnership with the Thomas Lindsey Foundation and the Bank of Utica, the dates for their Summer Outdoor Movie Series!

From 5 pm to 7:30 pm on certain days, you can visit local parks and watch a movie for free. None of the movies have been announced, but according to the post, they will be family friendly.

All children must be accompanied by an adult, and people are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or a blanket to the locations to relax on while enjoying the "outdoor movie experience."

Here's the list of where you can go on what dates:

July 10th- Seymour Park (Euclid Road)

July 20th- Parkway Recreation Center

July 27th- Addison Miller Park (York Street and Old Burrstone Road)

August 10th- Quinn Playground (St. Vincent Street and Rutger Street)

August 28th- Chancellor Park (Bleeker Street and First Street)

You can also plan to grab some dinner while you're there too! Grilled hotdogs, fresh popcorn and refreshments will be available.
