
End of an Era: Utica Zoo’s Brewfest Has Been Retired After 27 Years
One of the Mohawk Valley's most popular summer traditions is coming to an end.
The Utica Zoo has announced that Brewfest, its longtime fundraiser that brought thousands of visitors together each August, has officially been retired after a 27-year run.
Utica Zoo Brewfest Will Not Return in 2026
Since launching in 1998, Brewfest became one of the zoo's signature events. Guests looked forward to sampling more than 100 craft beers, ciders and seltzers while supporting the zoo and its mission.
Over the years, the event grew into a summer favorite, attracting beer lovers and animal lovers alike.
The Zoo Thanks the Community for Nearly Three Decades of Support
In announcing the end of Brewfest, the Utica Zoo thanked the many partners, vendors, volunteers and guests who helped make the event a success over the past 27 years.

The zoo said Brewfest's legacy was made possible by the support of the community and everyone who played a role since the event began in 1998.
New Fundraising Events Are Already in the Works
While Brewfest is coming to an end, the zoo says it remains committed to creating fun experiences that connect people with wildlife and bring the community together.
According to the zoo, visitors can expect new signature fundraising events in the future.
The organization encouraged supporters to follow its social media pages for announcements about what's next.
