One of the many events that took place today in honor of those we lost 13 years ago was Utica’s 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony on the Memorial Parkway near MVCC across from Sherman Drive. We attended and gathered some footage for you to view in remembrance of those we've lost.

Mayor Robert Palmieri placed a wreath at the 9/11 monument. Family members of 9/11 victims laid a rose at the 9/11 Memorial in memory of their lost loved ones. As the ceremony finished, the names of the New York City firefighters and police officers who made the ultimate sacrifice on September 11, 2001 were read.

Our nation still mourns the loss of those who died in the attacks of 9/11 2001 and we will never forget what happened on that tragic day in American history. It's clear that Central New Yorkers and our nation will never forget those we lost and those men and women of the armed forces that served and continue to serve to protect our homeland.
