I featured Joshua Kadison this afternoon during Delilah's Classic Love Song, playing his hit 'Beautiful In My Eyes' from 1993's Painted Desert Serenade.  That was Kadison's debut album and gave him his biggest hits including 'Beautiful In My Eyes,' 'Jesse,' and 'Picture Postcards from L.A.' Hearing his music got me wondering what happened to him.

Painted Desert Serenade featured Joshua's powerful vocals and driving piano and looked to be a launching pad for a successful career.  After hearing his music today, it got me wondering what happened to him.  A follow-up album in 1995, Delilah Blue did not fare as well.

According to a Wikipedia article, after leaving record company EMI, Kadison lauched his own label, Storyville Records and has released several downloadable albums including The Venice Beach Sessions and, in 2008, Return of the Dragonfly.

Here are his biggest hits.  First up his highest charting hit ever, 'Beautiful In My Eyes.'

'Jesse' was the lead track from Painted Desert Serenade and reached #26 on Billboard.

'Picture Postcards from LA' never charted but remains one of my favorites from Joshua.
