Wind Advisory in Effect for Western New York

A wind advisory is in effect for the western part of the state today.

The advisory is in effect from 6:00am until 11:00pm today.

The advisory affects the following counties:

• Cattaraugus
• Chautauqua
• Erie
• Genesee
• Monroe
• Niagara
• Orleans
• Wyoming

Officials say that power may be affected if lines are downed by flling trees or wind.

A lakeshore flood advisory is in effect as well in Chautauqua and Erie counties until 2:00pm ody.
