Utica Family Wishing for a Christmas Miracle for Baby with Cancer

Nick and Kara Passalacqua are facing extra challenges this holiday season that none of us should ever have to endure--or could even fathom.

The Utica couple's 7-week-old baby girl Leah has recently been diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma, a cancer attacking her adrenal gland, liver and kidneys.

She's undergoing chemotherapy treatments under the care of the incredible staff at the Golisano Upstate Children's Hospital in Syracuse. A special Facebook page has been set up for all of us to check on the progress of young Leah, with pictures and updates.

There's also a GoFundMe account that's been established to help the Passalacqua family defray some of the heavy medical costs associated with Leah's treatments.

We'll be following and praying as Leah recovers from this challenge. And we'll provide updates on Lite 98.7 as this story progresses, in order to let the Passalacqua family know they have strength in numbers behind them.
