The Most Unsafe Place to Buy A Home is Herkimer

Herkimer
Eric Meier/TSM

An online Real Estate Agency in California is claiming that of all the communities to avoid when buying a home, Herkimer tops the list.

It’s all about safety according to Movoto Real Estate and Herkimer joins Newburgh, Rochester, Buffalo and Niagara Falls.

This begs the question of whether the shooting rampage from last year in Herkimer played a role in their decision.

The Town of Elmira is the safest place to buy a home in New York State, according to the agency.

Here’s the complete story from Movoto Real Estate.

UPDATE:  Oddly enough, here’s a real estate site that says Buffalo/Niagara Falls is a great place to retire.
