Beyonce’s New Self-Titled Album Debuts At #1 And Makes Chart History

Here's one for the music record books.  Beyonce's new self titled album debuts at #1 and in the process, makes chart history. 

According to Billboard, Beyonce's new album, which is her fifth, debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200.  Beyonce is now the first woman to have her first five albums debut at #1.

But wait, there's more proof "Beyonce" is a smash.    Globally, it's the fastest ever selling album in the iTunes store.  Also, it's the biggest sales week for a woman in 2013 and the fourth biggest sales week  overall for the year.

Pretty amazing for an album released without fanfare on December 13th.  Up until today, iTunes has been the exclusive seller of "Beyonce" but the CD arrives in stores today.  Just in time for Christmas.
