Burger King’s New French Fries Are Much Thicker
This week has been a pretty crazy one for me. My whole schedule of sleep has changed from filling in for our sister station’s morning show. My eating patterns had a pretty big change this week too. Instead of fine fancy meals, I’ve been hitting up the drive thru lanes. One of my many stops this week has been Burger King. Now I thought maybe I was just tired and a little loopy, but my fries this week seemed large and weird shaped.
When I got home I did a little research on this topic and discovered Burger King has changed its French fry recipe. It’s the first big change for BK since 1998.
The new fries are thicker, have less sodium and now feature a coating that makes them crisper and keeps them hotter longer. I’ll have to say; what ever they did really does work. I drove from Rome to Utica eating my fries and the fries were very hot for the entire drive. Also by thicker, they are like three fries in one. A medium was almost like a large, so be careful on how you order.
The fries will be available in many Burger King restaurants by December 5th, and lucky for us they are here locally now.
