While out recently taking advantage of some after Christmas sales, I happened to walk by the return line at one of the big chain stores.  It was a mile long!  So many people returning Christmas gifts.  So I started wondering, what are the most returned items?

If you said clothes, you are correct.  According to a recent MarketTools study, clothes made up 62% of the returns last Christmas.   Stores will lose almost ten cents for every dollar's worth of stuff they sell because of returns, which is why some stores have gotten really

strict with their return policy.  Other items that are likely to be returned are toys and games(16%), electronics(14%), kitchen and bath products(13%), cosmetics and beauty products(10%), and jewelry and watches(10%).  How about you?  Are you returning stuff or do you just keep it and either re-gift it or let it collect dust in the closet?
