The stars, like Lea Michele, Bella Thorne, Ne-Yo, will.i.am and Flo Rida, came out for the 2012 Do Something Awards, which were held in Santa Monica, California last night (Aug. 19).

The awards recognize the most charitable people, places and events of the past year. So it’s refreshing in that it’s not another ceremony where Hollywood pats itself on the back for being talented and good-looking. Instead, good works are celebrated.

Michele aka Rachel Berry on ‘Glee‘ showed up with boyfriend and co-star Cory Monteith. She was gorgeous in a flowy, frilly white Giorgio Armani frock with a looooooooow-cut bodice and high-cut slit. It was a daring outfit, and not because it showed off her tattoos. Even so, Michele pulled it off. It could have drifted into wardrobe malfunction territory easily, due to the plunging neckline and the fact that she was bra-free, but thankfully, it didn’t. The pairing of her sun-kissed skin and the white fabric was to die for.

Haley Reinhart rocked a curve-hugging metallic number with cutouts, while Bella Thorne (and her red hair) looked gorgeous in a short, belted, blush dress. Ne-Yo was dapper in a burgundy suit, the rich color of which we loved. Will, who accepted the award for Do Something Music Artist, had a heart cutout in his blazer. Such a stylish (and charitable) gent that will is!

Flo Rida also performed at the event, since the pop-rapper is never one to turn down a live TV event or awards show.

Let’s hope the celebs at the Do Something Awards inspire their fans to do good out in the universe, as well.
