Like the Kids' Choice Awards, the MTV Movie Awards are more of a casual, loose event, so the stars dress down even when dressing up.
Names like Dior and Balenciaga are absent from red carpet ensembles in favor of fun, less dressy items like jeans and short dresses. The best dressed at the 2013 MTV Movie Awards were a mix of glam and casual, thanks to Selena Gomez, Emma Watson and Snooki. (Yes, Snooki).
The 2013 MTV Movie Awards took place tonight (April 14), with plenty of pop stars on hand to party and bro down with the actors and actresses who were celebrated at the event. Selena Gomez was golden and utterly gorgeous in a mini dress, tossing her hair into a sexy, messy fishtail braid, while the always unpredictable Kesha channeled her inner goth hippie. The stars, like Lea Michele, Bella Thorne, Ne-Yo, will.i.am and Flo Rida, came out for the 2012 Do Something Awards, which were held in Santa Monica, California last night (Aug. 19).
The awards recognize the most charitable people, places and events of the past year. So it’s refreshing in that it’s not another ceremony where Hollywood pats itself on the back for being talented and good-looking. Instead, good works are celebrated.
