Anyone else think we dodged another bullet with this winter storm?  The pictures of the crippled Midwest are amazing and the ice storm raging just south of us is frightening, but for us in the Mohawk Valley, this morning brought some snow, whipping winds and now  sleet.  But weather not severe enough for the National Weather Service in Binghamton to continue their Winter Storm Warning.  We've been downgraded to a Winter Weather Advisory until 1PM for slick roads caused by the sleet.

Officially, Herkimer County and points eastward remain under a Winter Storm Warning until 6AM tomorrow, as the NWS in Albany has not lifted the warning for the counties they cover.
