Help Fight Hunger In Our Area This Weekend

The Rome area 'Crop Walk' is this Sunday October 28th. It's your opportunity to help fight hunger in our area. Rome Mayor Joe Fusco will be the 2012 Honorary Chairperson and this years theme is, Veto Hunger. I like it.
Registration starts at 1pm at St John’s Lutheran Church on Chestnut Street in Rome, right after mass. The walk begins at 2pm. You'll enjoy music from local bands playing on a flatbed truck as everyone gets ready to walk the trails through Rome. Please call 336-1380 to sign-up, donate or volunteer. It's for a great cause because the proceeds go to charities including the Church World Service, the Rome Salvation Army and the Rome-Area Food Coalition.
