It’s Groundhog Day 2013! Did Punxsatawny Phil See His Shadow? Looks Like An Early Spring!

Today was the day that the groundhog named Phil from Punxsatawny, PA emerges and either sees his shadow or doesn’t. Apparently he has a shadow like Peter Pan’s and it eluded him this time, so looks like an early spring is on the menu! Now let’s just hope it comes in like a lamb rather than a lion! TIme to go watch me some Bill Murray!

 

 

Today was the day and the famous spring-predicting groundhog missed his Ever since the tradition began in 1887, Phil (and his ancestors) saw their shadows 99 times, while predicting an early spring only 16 times. There was no record for nine of the years
