A storm that brought heavy rain and wind to Syracuse has moved into the Mohawk Valley.  Portions of Oneida and Madison counties are under a Severe Thunderstorm Warning until 3:45 this afternoon.

The main threat for this storm won't be lightning but rather strong winds.  The storm is moving swiftly at 50 miles per hour and, according to the National Weather Service:

LITTLE TO NO LIGHTNING WILL OCCUR WITH THESE STORMS... BUT STRONG

GUSTY WINDS PRODUCING SCATTERED DOWN TREES CAN BE EXPECTED.

Our entire listening area is under a tornado watch until 7PM tonight.
