Rachel Rolleri Sings Sugarland’s ‘Stay’ on ‘American Idol’ [VIDEO]

Rachel Rolleri 'American Idol'
FOX

American Idol‘ continued tonight (Jan. 16), and one of the standout performances was from Rachel Rolleri, a 17-year-old high school student who is a huge Keith Urban fan.

For her performance, she sang ‘Stay’ by Sugarland, accompanying herself on guitar.

The judges were impressed by her voice, which they called mature despite her age — although a few guitar flubs made them a tad nervous.

After some back and forth, all three judges gave her a golden ticket to Hollywood, impressed by the “thickness” of her tone when she sang.
