Imagine being inches away from a lion. Well, now that experience is possible at the Utica Zoo. Matt and Naomi had the chance to experience it first-hand.

The Utica Zoo has always been a special place, but who knew you could get super up close and personal with the animals?

So many shelters are filled with dogs that have been abused and neglected. Some of these animals have intentionally been left for dead. A group of attorneys in Onondaga County feel that these dogs and other pets need proper representation.

Just when you thought you've heard it all, another story is released about animal abuse that will make you sick to your stomach. It is reported that a cat was left on the side of the road in a plastic bag in Syracuse and now a reward is being offered leading to the arrest of whomever is responsible.

This is a story that's sure to warm your heart. A cat that was near-death was given a second chance, and is using that second chance to help other animals.

If it's too cold for you, then it's probably too cold for your pets to be left outside. Exposure to winter’s dry, cold air and chilly rain, sleet and snow can cause chapped paws and itchy, flaking skin, but these aren’t the only discomforts pets can suffer.

The bald eagle is one of America's greatest symbols and up until 2007, these majestic birds were almost extinct. Now, their population is flourishing and it has a lot to do with places like the Montezuma Wildlife Refuge in Seneca Falls, NY.
