Members of the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office and the Moyers Corners Fire Department are local heroes for one dog in the Town of Clay. Both teams responded to the NYS Wildlife Management Area for an ice rescue call involving a dog, and were successful.
Dylan Bender may only be 13 years-old but he spent his Christmas vacation helping others. Instead of playing video games or watching television, the central New York teen helped shovel for his neighbors; an act of kindness not unusual for Bender.
There's still good people in the world. Especially right here in Central New York. One man from Boonville just had a random act of kindness held for him that he's extremely grateful.

On September 12, 2016 at 11:30 am 9 year-old Colin Toland was sworn-in as the newest police officer for the Ithaca Police Department. Officer Toland took the oath of office in front of 150 fellow police officers, firefighters, and EMS workers. Officer Toland was joined by approximately 300 people from the greater Ithaca community as well as his entire 4th grade class at Northeast Elementary School
Central New Yorker Tony Lomazzo has a big heart, and helps out when possible, with the homeless. Recently, he bought lunch for one gentleman in North Utica.
