My wife told me she wants to do something this Mother's Day that we haven't done in a while so the first thing that came to mind was that we haven't gone to the beach in years. Before Dylan was born, we'd lay out at Sylvan beach all day then have dinner and drinks at Harpoon Eddies. Well, that's where we are heading Sunday afternoon. Hey, join us, there will be a free concert!

The band Scars on 45, a quintet from Bradford, England, will take the stage at Harpoon Eddies at 2:30 Sunday and again at 6pm. This group combines the gentle melodic intensity of Snow Patrol with a Coldplay and Fleetwood Mac sound. Check out their his song "Heart On Fire".

That song was VH1’s #1 most played clip for two consecutive weeks. “Heart On Fire” remains a top 10 favorite at VH1, where Scars on 45 were named the “You Oughta Know” artist in early 2012 for the month of January and February. They will perform several sets for you and mom at the beach Sunday. FREE!  Hope to see you there.
