Tornado Outbreak Strikes Illinois and Indiana 11-17-13 [VIDEOS]

A severe weather outbreak struck the midwest with severe thunderstorms and tornadoes.  From social media, here are some of the raw footage that's been captured.

Chicago

The severe weather caused a lenghty delay in the Chicago Bears football game against the Baltimore Ravens as the teams were removed from the field due to dangerous weather conditions.

Tornado sirens were sounded in the city:

Coal City, Illinois

Coal City is located in Grundy County, southwest of Joliet

Peoria, Pekin and Washington, Illinois

The area of Central Illnois around Peoria was partiuclarly hard hit including the suburbs of Pekin and Washington.

The news team for Peoria area TV stations WHOI and WEEK needed to suspend storm coverage as the storm approached.

Lafayette, Indiana

West Lafayette is the home of Purdue University. This video shows a heavy rain storm moving through the area.
