Country Living Magazine recently praised the Village of Aurora for being "America's Best Kept Secret."

The quaint village of Aurora is located on the shores of Cayuga Lake and could easily be the focal point and prime shooting location for the next Disney movie. American Girl Doll creator Pleasant Rowland is partially responsible for making Aurora both cute and classy.

She has redeveloped some of the properties and the next time you visit, you'll see for yourself just how special this place is. Many of Aurora's buildings are on the National Register for Historic Places, and the Aurora Inn was once a stagecoach stop for weary travelers.

Since Aurora is in the Finger Lakes Region, that means it's part of wine country.

Aurora is also home to one of the world's leading pottery manufacturers Mackenzie-Childs.

There they create beautiful masterpieces and you can even tour their campus.

Morgans Opera House and Dorie's Bakery are couple of other reasons to come visit this one of a kind place.
