An Odyssey of the mind team, comprised of six girls from Upstate, New York are headed to the World Finals in Iowa.

This event has special meaning to Matt Hubbell, because two of the girls on the team are his nieces:  Abby, and Alaina Burke. Their group beat out 14 other teams at the State Finals, and now they're off to compete against some of the world's best and brightest on May 25th at Iowa State University.

According to Odyssey of the Mind.com:

Odyssey is an international educational program that provides creative problem-solving opportunities for students from kindergarten through college. Team members apply their creativity to solve problems that range from building mechanical devices to presenting their own interpretation of literary classics.

The students are needing to raise $9000 for travel and project expenses. If you'd like to help out an excellent cause click HERE at their Gofundme page.

The team advanced to to the World finals after their recreation of one of 'Aesop Fables' took the top spot at the State Finals. Good luck girls!
