A little bit of freezing rain goes a long way when it comes to travelling.  The National Weather Service Office in Binghamton has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for light freezing rain tonight into Saturday morning. 

The advisory is in effect from 10 tonight (1/08) until 7 Saturday morning (1/09).

* LOCATIONS...AREAS ALONG AND EAST OF THE INTERSTATE 81 CORRIDOR IN CENTRAL NEW YORK. THIS INCLUDES THE SOUTHERN TUG HILL,
WESTERN MOHAWK VALLEY, PORTIONS OF THE SUSQUEHANNA REGIONS and THE WESTERN CATSKILLS.

INCLUDING THE CITIES OF...BOONVILLE...ONEIDA...HAMILTON...UTICA...
ROME...NORWICH...ONEONTA...BINGHAMTON...WALTON...DELHI

The good news is the freezing rain will be light enough that we shouldn't see falling trees and power lines. However; the Weather Service does warn that travel may be hazardous as roada will become slippery. Here's latest 5 day forecast, available anytime.
