Bagpipes, Hot Air Balloons, and Tasty Food This Weekend in Central New York
We still have a bit of summer left in Central New York so let's get out there and enjoy it this weekend.
CNY Scottish Games and Festival
Grab your lawn chairs, and blankets and get ready to watch strong men and women hurl large objects and rocks across a field. There will also be lots of magic haggis, neeps, and tatties. (That's Scottish food, in case your wondering.)

The caber toss, sheaf toss, weight toss and stone toss are back in Central New York for the 75th year. If feats of strength aren't your thing, check out the bagpipe band and drum major competitions, dancing, live music and of course, lots of food.
Bring your Anam Cara, and and get ready to experience lots of excitement at this Scottish Ceilidh. Oh, and everyone agrees, you'll look amazing in your plaid kilt. Don't be bashful, just go for it!

Rome Hot Air Balloon Festival
Up, up,♫ and away ♪ in our beautiful ♫ balloons. It's time for the long awaited event at the Copper City's Bellamy Harbor Park. The Central New York sky will be full of color when this fun festival takes flight this weekend.
The event will feature balloon rides, lots of food, and a walk down the Erie Canal Trail. It happens August 13th and14th, and for additional information, click HERE.
Syracuse Festival Latino Americano
This event features, dancing, playing, and of course, lots of delicious comida.
According to Syracuse.Com:
The annual festival, held on the city's Near West Side, brings together craft and food vendors, live music, sports tournaments and Latino cultural demonstrations.
