A Boy, 13, from Pikesville, Maryland, was recently charged with assault after allegedly kissing a girl, of similar age at 14. What is the big deal you ask? It was against her will! But is this going a little to far to charge this young boy with assault?

A 13-year-old Maryland boy has recently been accused of grabbing a 14-year-old girl and then kissing her against her will. According to the boy the reason he did this, was because of a dare. The assault that allegedly happened was reported Wednesday morning at Pikesville Middle School.

According to police, the girl, who is in eighth grade, told them that the boy, who is also in eighth grade, grabbed her shirt near the stomach and then pulled her towards him and allegedly open mouth kissed her with his tongue. Which was against her will she informed police.

The boy was released to his mother at the school after he was charged with second-degree assault as a juvenile and taken to the precinct.

As of right now the boy is believed to also face school disciplinary action for violating the code of conduct.

Is this maybe going a little to far? What teenager doesn't get dared at least once to kiss somebody? How many of us have received an unwanted kiss at that age that stemmed from a dare? So is an assault charge really necessary? You be the judge.
