Empowering Central New York Women- Lite 98.7 And WOO
Is there a woman owned and operated business in your area that you just LOVE? What about you-- are you the proprietor of a women owned and operated business in the Mohawk Valley? We want to brag about you with WOO!
What is WOO?
WOO is a new community program hosted by Dave Wheeler from Lite 98.7 as we recognize our area's best Women Owned and Operated (WOO!) businesses throughout the Mohawk Valley. Each week, we will encourage listeners to nominate their favorite Women Owned and Operated Businesses to be announced and celebrated on air and online! All nominees will be entered into a monthly drawing to be featured on our morning show, plus more goodies to be announced later.
What is a Women Owned and Operated Business and Who is Eligible to be Nominated?
According to Wikipedia, a Women Owned and Operated Business is a small business that is at least 51% owned, operated and controlled on a daily basis by one or more (in combination) women. It could be a bakery or a restaurant. A yoga studio or a beauty salon. It could be an ad agency or a law firm-- you name it-- if you are a woman who owns your own business-- you can be nominated for WOO!
