Actor Vince Vaughn has been enjoying the sights, sounds, and tastes of Central New York--at spots like the Syracuse Downtown Farmers Market, Apizza Regionale, Shaughnessy’s Irish Pub, and The Retreat in Liverpool.

Oh yeah, and Vaughn's not here JUST for the restaurants and bars, but he's also filming a movie called "The Binge" with the folks at Liverpool's film studio American High. And he's been very approachable and friendly with area fans. Some snapped pics with a mustachioed Vaughn, and posted them on social media. One young woman, Sydney Dell'Aquila (far right below) posed for a great picture with Vaughn that wound up on her Instagram page:

Dell’Aquila told us Vaughn was “awesome” and “very friendly.”

It's American High's sixth movie in Central New York. Production has begun at the former A.V. Zogg Middle School in Liverpool, now known as Syracuse Studios. The studio's founder and owner Jeremy Garelick's film credits include “The Wedding Ringer," “The Hangover," and “The Break-Up."

Garelick bought the former Liverpool middle school in 2017. He wants to focus on teen comedies, serving on a niche market that used to be dominated by filmmaker John Hughes.
