Adopt A Pet Wednesday: Meet Mariah & Paulina

Remember, Adopt...Don't shop! Today we would like to feature two pets currently living at the Stevens-Swan Humane Society. We've got a cuddly kitty and man's best friend looking for a new home.

Paulina is a very sweet and cuddly Labrador Pit Bull mix. She is an absolute doll to be around. Despite her size, she thinks she is a lap dog and will climb right into your lap to give you kisses. She is a cuddle bug who just wants a home to call her own and an owner that will spoil her. She is good with other dogs, and would even do well in a home with children.

This sweet gal is Mariah. Mariah came to the Humane Society as a stray in November of 2012. She is a very sweet girl, but may take a little time to warm up to new people. She likes to observe from a far before she approaches you for attention. Once she warms up to you she is very sweet and welcomes all petting and will rub on your legs until she gets the attention she wants. She loves to play with her teaser toy; she is very playful! Mariah does great with the other cats in the room, so she would make a great companion for your cat. Mariah also has the cutest half mustache that makes her look like she is smiling, who could resist that?

Remember the Summer Sizzle' 5-Mile Run, a SSHS Fundraiser will be this Sunday June 9th at SUNY IT (Marcy). Also the monthly can and bottle drive is Saturday June 29th from 11a-2p at the Shelter parking lot.
