The same park that has millions transfixed when April the Giraffe gave birth to a calf a couple of years ago says all signs point to another baby giraffe on the way, this time for their other female giraffe, Johari.

The park says they have a "calf conundrum" since all physical signs point to a baby giraffe, but lab testing has been inconclusive. They say Johari and male giraffe, Oliver, "connected" in July of 2019 "which would place Johari in the 14-16 month (15 month on average) window for expecting a calf."

While things are still a little uncertain, the park invites viewers on Johari's journey to parenthood with their Giraffe Cam: https://www.youtube.com/c/AnimalAdventureParkOfficial/

"Beginning Tuesday, the park’s Giraffe Cams will stream the live footage in Giraffe Barn 1 during the evening hours. Weekly updates will occur on Fridays at 11 a.m., LIVE from Giraffe Barn 1, broadcast via Facebook. The park will provide updates and document changes and progress, and end each segment with a Q&A session from viewers."

Park owner, Jordan Patch tells News10 "it is in Johari’s best interest that we go into full blown calf watch during this critical window of time to ensure that we are not underprepared to assist Johari with a safe delivery, if that time comes.”
